Practicing Our God-Given Faith - 2

The Hebrew Church were being encouraged to abandon their new relationship in Christ and rejoin Judaism. Led by the Holy Spirit, the author of the book of Hebrews sent a letter to the Hebrew Church to help them Hold on to Jesus Christ. And he presents Jesus Christ as one superior to All.

Biblical faith means confidence in obedience to God despite the circumstances and consequences. This tells us that, despite all the impossible circumstances we may face, we must hear God when he speaks, trust His Word, and act upon His Word and allow Him to do what is best for us.

The Bible presents different levels and types of faith

  • Saving faith
  • Progressive faith
  • Faith as the fruit of the Spirit
  • Faith as the gift of the Spirit
  • The unwavering or tested Faith

To practice our God-give faith;

We must be sincere in the worship of God

  • Sincere spiritual worship focuses on the Recipient
  • It places value on the Gift
  • It Weighs the quality of service
  • It leaves a great Testimony
  • It  Operates in the context of Faith

We must be willing to wrestle in the Lord

  • In our wrestling, we must refuse to Compromise
  •  In our wrestling, we must be ready to suffer Reproach
  • In our wrestling, we must be hopeful for Godly Rewards
