Practicing Our God-Given Faith - 3

Waiting has been a difficult discipline in every human life. It is a great challenge that confronts every human being whether male or female, Young or Adult, Rich or Poor. The Newly Married Couple is anxious about having a new baby, a new graduate is anxious to be employed, People in Spiritual Ministries are eagerly looking forward to seeing a vibrant Ministry, and the Young Politician is anxious to taste Political Power.

 

Waiting can be classified in different forms. Namely, Setting yourself some Days and Time to seek the Lord through Fasting and Prayer (Isa.40:31). Looking forward with high expectation to the Fulfillment of the Promises of God (I call this one “Between the Promise and the Fulfillment”)

A. Focus on the faithfulness of God

1. He is the foundation on which we stand.

2. He is our master, builder and our maker.

3. He is the driving force of our destiny

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, For His Compassion never fails. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness”(Lam.3:22,23)

 

B. Understand God’s Purpose for His Calling Upon Your Life

1. May be to pioneer a Godly Nation like Abraham

2. May be to demonstrate What it Takes to depend on God

“The Timing of God often defies your thinking it contradicts logic, you may have troubles, battles, or trials but they do not negate God’s Love for you. There is a purpose behind your pain”(Comfort Ocran )

 

C. Stay Attached to Your Godly Conviction

1. Do not allow the past to control your Conviction

2.Set Your Heart on the Best Things that have happened to You

3. Place Your all on the Altar of God
